BSc Hons.Psych, Adv.Dip Eating Disorders and Nutritional Interventions, Master Practitioner Eating Disorders and Obesity and a Diploma in Person Centred Counselling.
Liz is an experienced psychotherapist and life coach with 17 years of clinical experience. She holds a BSc Hons in Psychology, a Diploma in Person Centred Counselling and holds an Advanced Diploma in Eating Disorders and Nutritional Interventions, achieving the status of Master Practitioner in Eating Disorders and Obesity.
Liz has work experience gained in the NHS, mental health institutions, charities and has also run a private practice for over 12 years. Previous experience includes working with the bereaved at Sam Beare Unit in Weybridge. Liz has experience in working with survivors of suicide. Her work at Wel Care, a lone parent charity in Basingstoke which introduced her to working with individuals who had experienced domestic violence, rape and abuse.
The ATP 12 Step Recovery programme at the Priory Hospital in Roehampton and the RAPT programme for addicted prisoners at HMP Send led Liz to work with addiction, compulsive behaviour, anger management, anxiety and PTSD. Liz has also worked as a live in therapist at The Kusnacht Practice, Zurich, Switzerland for clients experiencing depression, addictions, stress, codependency, trauma, eating disorders and relationship difficulties, in addition she has travelled internationally to provide aftercare to post-treatment clients.
Liz has trained in CBT, NLP, DBT, mindfulness skills and uses Socratic Themes, MET, Lifeline work to enhance the therapeutic experience. She has worked extensively with anger and stress management which can lead to depression or burn out. She has many years experience working with the bereaved and uses her skills to support individuals who are experiencing loss or grief for matters such as a loss of a relationship or life status and uses life coaching skills to support individuals into life changes. Liz is also highly qualified to work with individuals who struggle with eating disorders such as anorexia, bulimia, and obesity. She works holistically with her clients offering integrative therapy, in vivo therapy, nutritional advice and support to optimise wellbeing.
