Katherine Ross Msc (BPS), MA (Oxon)
Katherine is an experienced therapist trained in Person Centered Psychotherapies to PGDip level and currently completing research for her Person Centered Psychotherapy Msc (UKCP Acc). In addition she holds a Psychology MSc (BPS) and has also published works in in the Journal of Addictive Behaviors.
Katherine specialises in working with people in creative industries but her approach is effective for many individuals and she has experience across public and private sectors. She commonly works with Anxiety, Depression, Self-Worth, Identity, and Interpersonal Relating. Katherine also has extensive experience working with grief and bereavement.
In addition to her private practice Katherine works in the NHS, at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art, and at Royal Trinity Hospice.
Katherine believes that knowledge of ourselves and of the world around us comes from our lived experience and so understanding each individuals subjective experience and needs is the starting point of the work. Katherine seeks to build a non-judgemental relationship that is based on openness and allows for mutual exploration of the content that you bring. This process may lead to therapeutic growth including greater self-understanding, changes in behaviour, new ways of coping, and improved well-being.
