Juliette is an experienced Psychodynamic Psychotherapist who specilises in working with individuals and couples on their relationship issues.
She offers a non-judgmental space where partners can talk and listen to each other openly. The aim of Couple Therapy is to foster awareness and understanding of the problems affecting the relationship whether the partners want to stay together or work towards a separation. It provides the opportunity to think about the dynamic of the relationship and get better attuned to your emotions and those of your partner. This may involve exploring the past to the extent that it influences the present.
Juliette works with individuals who are in a relationship and would like to understand the difficulties they are facing. She also sees individuals who have ended a relationship and want to make sense of what happened and why the relationship ended.
Some of the issues couples and individuals bring to Relationship Therapy are: Communication issues, Conflict and anger, Sexual difficulties and lack of intimacy, Depression and/or anxiety, Divorce and separation, Fertility issues, Parenting issues, Dealing with family conflicts (blended families, in-laws, stepchildren), Infidelity and trust issues, Trauma, Bereavement and loss, Addictions, Work stress and redundancy, Retirement and Ageing.
At the initial consultation you would explore your concerns as a couple or an individual. This first session will give you a feel for how Juliette works. You will then be offered to come on a weekly basis for 50min sessions at regular agreed time for as long as is helpful.
Juliette trained at the Tavistock Relationships (TR), a center of excellence for clinical work, research and training in Couple Counselling and Psychotherapy.
