Dr Leslie Muetzelfeldt
I am a Chartered Clinical Psychologist, having completed my training through UCL. I am registered with the HCPC and a member of the BPS. I am also a member of the Division of Neuropsychology, and the Faculty of the Psychology of Older People.
I work in a warm and empathic way to support my clients to explore issues which are important to them. I have experience of working within a range of models including CBT, Cognitive Analytic Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy and systemic therapy, as well as using a range of techniques drawing on skills from narrative therapy, Mindfulness, Solution-Focused Therapy, and Motivational Interviewing.
I have experience of working with adults facing a range of difficulties including low mood, depression, anxiety, OCD, phobias, relationship difficulties and addiction.
I also have specific experience of working with those experiencing a range of long-term health conditions who may be facing anxiety, depression or struggling to adjust. This includes working with those who have experienced a stroke or acquired brain injury, as well as those with a diagnosis of Parkinson’s Disease, Motor Neuron Disease or Multiple Sclerosis.
