Dr Garret O’Moore

Garret initially trained and worked as an Organisational Psychologist before qualifying as a Counselling Psychologist. He holds a professional Doctorate in Counselling Psychology and a Master of Science in Organisational Psychology. He is Chartered with the British Psychological Society (BPS), registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) and holds membership of the International Society for Coaching Psychology (ISCP).
He has worked in a variety of clinical settings in the NHS, including Primary and Secondary care services. In addition to his work in the NHS he acts as an examiner and visiting lecturer at City University London.
Garret offers both brief and longer term psychotherapy as well as psychologically informed coaching. He draws from evidenced and leading edge behavioural (ACT) and psychodynamic (ISTDP) approaches to help people address their difficulties and achieve the changes that they seek.
He has expertise in helping people overcome a range of issues, including: anxiety, panic, depression, persistent physical symptoms (e.g. Fibromyalgia, IBS, CFS, tinnitus), emotional and relationship difficulties, self criticism and poor self worth.
He is also skilled in helping people manage difficulties at work, including the impact of workplace bullying and harassment.
